Why Global Issues? (Legacy Series) , ,

In this fourth book in the Legacy Series, Linda Ruas argues that we have a responsibility to bring global issues into our ELT classes. It’s the Age of People Power, the Age of Social Unrest. We need to both reflect the real world outside the class and prepare learners for using their English in this world.

This short introduction to global issues discusses why we should teach them in the classroom, which global issues and how we can integrate global issues into ELT in practical tasks.

“There are many problems, but I think there is a solution to all these problems; it’s just one and it’s called education.” Malala Yousafrzai.
